2027 PERFORMANCE TEAM AUDITIONS
Our 2027 Performance Team Auditions are officially open to the public! We want to see your strengths, your versatility and everything that makes you the dancer you are! If you’ve got great technique, tricks or other styles you love, we want to see those too!
Submit your audition video to info@youniquedance.com.au or submit your audition below. If emailing, please include your dancer’s full name, date of birth and team/s they are looking to audition for.
Please be sure to include Lyrical, Jazz & Hip Hop for 12yrs+ and Tap for 10yrs & under for your submission.
YDA PERFORMANCE TEAM INFORMATION
Our Performance Teams will represent YDA across multiple genres and will require dancers to be versatile, committed, and technically strong across all core styles.
Rather than multiple weekly choreography sessions, the majority of routines for competitions will be learned during an intensive choreography block held between 18th–22nd January, just before Term 1 commences.
From Term 1 onwards, Performance Team dancers will participate in a weekly training session focused on completing, running and refining their competition routines.
To be considered for the Performance Team, dancers must demonstrate strength in all of the following styles:

Lyrical / Contemporary

Tap (required for 6yrs, 8yrs & 10yrs)

Hip Hop
-
Musical Theatre
-
Technique & Conditioning
-
Ballet
Weekly Prerequisites
Weekly prerequisites for all Performance Team members include:

Combo Class
-
Tap Syllabus Class (for 6yrs, 8yrs & 10yrs only)
Excludes Performance Hip Hop students.
